Laurel Heritage Resort & Spa: Your next vacation destination
by Mary Angelie L. Araneta
THE LAUREL Heritage Resort & Spa used to be a regular house owned by the former Mayor of Sto. Tomas, Batangas, Mayor Leopoldo M. Laurel Jr. In 2018, it was converted into a resort and spa which was Mediterranean inspired with a must-visit restaurant, an event center, a spa, a swimming pool, and room accommodations. It is located in Poblacion 4, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Five months after it's Grand Opening, I am delighted to share with you why I recommend visiting, and possibly, booking your stay in this resort.
The resort is well-known for its restaurant, “Cuisina ni Miling”. The name “Miling” was the nickname of my grandmother, who herself was a good cook . The resto specializes in serving Filipino cuisine, although it also offers other food
viands where every dish is worth savoring. Hotel guests and regular walk -ins can be seen daily to the point that the restaurant is already filled to capacity. It is safe to say that the food is very delicious and sensibly priced which makes
customers often come back on a regular basis. Not just in the restaurant, but it also applies for the rooms, Bayleaf Spa, and to special packages and promos that are worth to experience. Hotel guests, especially kids, have fun swimming in
the kiddie pool and jacuzzi, while the adults enjoy the complimentary massage services and soothing spa treatments.
And, as I have mentioned, there is an Events Venue named “Bulwagan ni Liling”. The name “Liling” refers to my grandfather, the former mayor of the city. This is where you can hold and celebrate your weddings, birthday parties,
meetings, baptismals, or any other occasions.
Within the vicinity of the resort, you also have easy access to grocery stores, bus terminal, Lianas Mall, the wet market, and other restaurants and stores nearby. If you want to explore the city of Sto. Tomas, the Padre Pio Shrine is the perfect place for you to visit and is only a ten minute ride away from the resort.
In this part, I would simply like to share my own thoughts about Laurel Heritage Resort & Spa. The first thing you'll notice about this resort is how well designed its exterior is and how stunning it is when lit up at night. It is definitely an “Instagrammable” spot and worth taking pictures of, as many visitors do. In fact, you are able to see the sight of Mt. Makiling. You will also appreciate the interior's sense of coziness, as it was thoughtfully designed. Second, I never miss to order “Mary Anne’s Fried Ice-cream,” which is one of their best-selling menu items. I highly recommend that you try it as it is good for sharing and it is something that you won’t get to eat everyday. It's funny how the customers want to order this dessert to go but can’t, for obvious reasons. Third, the customers genuinely appreciate the hospitable staff and leave positive reviews about it.
Finally, if I were to go home from work exhausted and try out their spa, I would instantly feel refreshed and well-rested by the aura the spa rooms give, and because they have great massage therapists.

Now that you know why I recommend Laurel Heritage Resort & Spa, why not try visiting it this time? The hotel staff will always look forward to giving you their best services, prioritize your health and safety, and will assure you to leave with a memorable experience to share with others. In the future, they’ll continue to build more features and grow. Who knows, it might end up being one of your favorite go-to spots in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
